The fee entitles you to attend all our monthly meetings for free (our meetings are September through May each year); exhibit at WAS members-only shows, with no additional fees and receive emails about local Calls to Artists, Shows and Social Events. Joining our group of over 100 members also provides you with a source of other artists who can help you with your

art business, provide resource information and connections along with opportunities for collaboration and friendship.

WAS Monthly Meetings
Wellington Art Society meetings are held the 2nd Wednesday of each month September through May at the Wellington Community Center. Our meetings reflect our vibrant, creative spirit They are fun and interesting, open to the public, and filled with enthusiasm and encouragement.

Before the meeting , artists have time to network followed by our Member Spotlight that encourages members to share their most recent artwork, talk about their creative process and share news of their upcoming exhibits, awards, and classes.
As part of our Artist Development Program, at our monthly meetings, Professional Artists give demonstrations of different mediums and techniques used in creating their art. Artists also share their professional and business knowledge and experiences of being a successful artist. Professional business/ marketing guidelines, resource information, class and workshop information, are provided for the group by the artists.

visitors and the Community. The artwork is offered for sale at these shows.

Community Outreach
WAS is known as a welcoming, supportive group of artists that also use their talents to serve the Community.  Our Outreach Programs allow our artists to use their creativity to teach classes, create paintings and murals for local hospitals, mentor children and adults, fulfill wish lists, and provide hands on service and support for community projects. Members of the Wellington Art Society judge local school student artwork as part of the annual Great Charity Challenge School Art initiative each February at the Equestrian Center.
