Originally from Jamaica. Norma attended Art schools in New York City, Vermont and Ohio. She married and relocated to Northeast Ohio from Vermont where she became active in the Arts. She taught at the Willoughby Fine Arts Association, Ohio, Madison Fine Arts Association, Ohio and LakeLand Community College in Mentor, Ohio. While living in Ohio, Norma was an active member in many community organizations, including American Business Women Association, Toastmasters International, Madison Fine Arts Association, and Outreach Initiative Program of Willoughby Fine Arts Association. Norma owned and operated Norma Albertha Studio/Gallery in Madison, Ohio where she taught drawing, painting, calligraphy, sculpting and wood carving to children and adults. She taught many workshops in different mediums and provided commercial services in formal family tree illustration, heralding renderings, creating company logos, architectural renderings, botanical impressions on fabric, hand written and computer assisted calligraphy. Norma closed her Ohio studio to share a studio with her son, Peter, in the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York. She relocated to Wellington, FL in 2004.
